About Palo Cedro Youth Soccer Organization

Palo Cedro Youth Soccer Organization (PCYSO) is a Cal North-CYSA affiliated soccer league in Northern California providing recreational and competitive programs for children 4 to 19. We serve ALL of Shasta County.

Tiny Kickers (Ages 3 & 4)


SEASON REG WILL OPEN THIS SUMMER

Four Friday evening sessions, dates TBD each season, focus on basic skills and fun games. Each 45-minute practice includes a free shirt for every player. Bring water, comfy shoes, and a size 3 soccer ball.

U6-U14 Youth League (Ages 5-13)

Welcome to the heart of our soccer community! From U6 to U14, our league is dedicated to fostering a love for the game while nurturing skill development. Our age-specific programs cater to the unique needs of each group, providing a platform for players to grow both on and off the field.

What are the registration fees for 2024?

Tiny Kickers - $40

Are all games in Palo Cedro?

For Tiny Kickers, U6, U8, games are all located in Palo Cedro. Once players enter U10-U14, games span from Mt. Shasta to Corning.

What days & times are practices?

Practices start in August for the fall season and in March for the spring season. Practice times are as follows:

U6 Practices T/Th 5:15 to 6:00 (once games start, games will be on Thursday nights, starting Sept 7th). Please ensure your player(s) bring the following to each practice: a water bottle and size 3 ball and shin guards.

U8 Practices T/TH 6:00-7:00 (games are on Friday nights starting Sept 8th all games at Junction). Please ensure your player(s) bring the following to each practice water bottle and size 3 ball and shin guards.

U10 Practices M/W 5:15 to 6:30 (games start Sept 9th, games are at Junction or in our local area). Please ensure your player(s) bring the following to each practice: a water bottle and size 4 ball and shin guards.

U12 Practices M/W 6:30 to 8:00 (games start Sept 9th, games are at Junction or in our local area). Please ensure your player(s) bring the following to each practice: a water bottle and size 4 ball and shin guards.

U14 Practices T/TH 6:00 to 7:30 (games start Sept 9th, games are at Junction or in our local area). Please ensure your player(s) bring the following to each practice: a water bottle and size 5 ball and shin guards.

How many games will my child play?

Each team plays one game per week.

U8 games will be played on Friday evenings. All other games will be played on Saturdays.

How do I become a referee?

Passionate about soccer and fair play? Join our volunteer referee team for the upcoming season! Ensure a positive playing environment and be a crucial part of the game. Contact Sarah Mills at sarhmills420@gmail.com or call 530-524-5211 get involved.

How do I become a coach?

Join our volunteer coaching team for the upcoming soccer league season! We believe in the power of dedicated individuals to inspire and mentor young athletes. What is the required equipment?

Each player needs to have appropriate cleats and shin guards to play in games.

Where are practices held?

ALL soccer practices are held at Junction School.

What is the refund policy?

Palo Cedro Youth Soccer Organization will gladly provide a refund for fees paid upon proof one of the following conditions has occurred:

Child injured before the season starts preventing them from playing.

Family has moved greater than 20 miles.100% of fees will be refunded if the player has not yet been entered into the league computer playing system.  If the player has already been added to the system, the fee (minus $15 the league is charged for insurance) will be refunded.  

Player fees will not be refunded due to a decision to not play for any other reason, including but not limited to practice nights, team placement, or age placement.
